Biography
Neil Brandt joined Halliwell in 2022 to grow and develop a national Construction Consulting group. He brings more than 20 years of direct industry experience including managing a restoration company and working for a large national carrier. He has insight into the Insurer’s needs methods of adjusting claims, and use of experts and can prepare cost analysis estimates which are complete, accurate, and detailed, and which are more likely to be accepted by an Insured’s contractor or another representative. In addition, he has experience in managing multi-disciplined expert teams on large loss insurance claims. This work involves scheduling and coordinating inspections, research, analyses of data, and development of work products for projects involving multiple experts to ensure a coordinated approach to the project.
Neil has extensive hands-on experience in performing large loss damage evaluations. He has consulted on losses involving catastrophic damage in multiple areas of the country from tornado, hurricane, flood, and fire. He is well-versed in all aspects of CAT losses and has been deployed to most of the recent large CATs throughout the country. He is an expert at developing restoration cost estimates (RCV and ACV), as well as developing claim review packages. Neil has provided clerking services on behalf of insurers on large loss insurance claims, meeting with all on-site contractors, verifying manpower and schedules, and ensuring work was completed in a timely fashion. He has also served as an appraiser representing the Insurer on several projects throughout the country. He has experience in researching, analyzing, and development of work products in support of these appraisals.
