Jon McClain has more than nine years of experience in mitigation, restoration and large loss estimating for the insurance industry. He has a background in construction and direct experience in managing residential, commercial, and industrial claims of all sizes. Jon specializes in building construction, water and fire mitigation and restoration, project clerking, and project management. His expertise includes hail, wind, water and fire damage assessments, scope of repairs, cost estimating, negotiation, and repair bid processes.

Jon’s expert services include forensic analysis of interiors, exterior envelopes, evaluations of roof repairs and replacement, cost estimating, reconciliation of repair estimates, and auditing of project billing and costs. He is an experienced appraiser and consultant for Builder’s Risk losses and completes project estimating, scope development, and budgeting for clients. Prior to becoming a building consultant, Jon was a project manager for a national restoration company in the Texas markets. In this role, his duties included emergency services, mitigation, remediation and estimating all aspects of construction with budgetary oversight.

Jon is a licensed commercial drone pilot and is certified in Xactimate Software. He has managed catastrophic events throughout the USA in the wakes of hurricane, tropical storm, and tornado losses.
