Biography

Osvaldo is a licensed PE in multiple states who brings more than 25 years of combined experience in the fields of civil and structural forensic engineering, structural building inspections, construction materials testing, structural design and plan review, and construction supervision. His expertise and broad knowledge of the industry gives him advanced insight into investigating property damage losses and evaluating building conditions. He specializes in forensic civil/structural investigations including hurricane damage assessments, evaluating damage from structural failures, foundation settlement, construction-related and blast induced vibrations, windstorm, fire, and vehicle impact events. He also has expertise in construction accident assessments, ladder and roof evaluations, collapse issues, and egress evaluations.

Osvaldo has conducted cause, origin, and extent/severity of damage investigations to multiple structure types, including commercial, industrial, multi-family, and residential. His expertise includes evaluation of structural damage from various causes including hurricanes, hail, tornadoes, flood events, fires, vehicle impact, roof and wall cladding moisture intrusion, plumbing leaks, and wood destroying organisms.
