Biography
Alan has a broad understanding of building materials and construction including interiors, roofing, and the building envelope. He has experience in damage assessment for multiple building types including residential (both single and multi-family), commercial, retail, healthcare including hospitals, assisted living and retirement communities, churches, restaurants, hotels, industrial complexes, multi-story/multi-use high-rises, school districts, and municipalities.
He has applied his knowledge and skills to specialize in preparing scope and cost analysis estimates for restoration and rebuild projects. He has an acute eye for detail that he applies to analysis of contractor invoicing/proposals and estimates to ensure costs are fair, reasonable and aligned with the scope of the project. He has consulted on a variety of claims throughout the country including CAT response, fire, wind, flood/water, tornado, hail and hurricane. His experience in clerking jobsites has contributed to the efficiency and financial accountability of contractors by ensuring work is completed in a timely manner in accordance with the scope of work.
